Tiverton Balloon Fiesta 2011

The weather was brilliant for the Friday, with free flying taking place by Ben and Max Alford from BMMB, and the resident model parachutist being dropped from bens model to the amazement of the crowd, their models also played an active role in the Friday night Glow taking over from the big balloons for 5 periods of the glow totaling about 7 minutes of the 20 minute glow. Saturday morning was a good flight for Roy Boyle, who finally managed the first hot inflation of his 40m3 BMMB M-Type which he took delivery of last August, Also inflating that morning was Martyn Turner from the British Balloon and Airship Museum. Unfortunately, the weather quickly deteriorated, meaning that the MBUK Club balloon, and the Exclusive Ballooning Team, who inflated at around 7pm, were the last hot air balloons to fly at this years Tiverton Balloon fiesta, making them the highlight of BBC Spotlight Devon.
