Southwest Model Show 2011

The show was held on the 30th April to the 2nd of May and the first event of the year for our club. The weather was what can only be called challenging, so unfortunately no flying was done by us, only a static display. It was also the first outing for the club's new tent and I must say it did look very professional. Thanks to Ben Alford for bringing along his rather large basket and also putting on weaving demos. Also thanks to Ray Preston for doing a sewing demo. The rest of the stand was made up with baskets and hoppers for the public to see. A surprise display item was added by Kevin James which was a gas balloon bottom end complete with sand bags on the corners.

Thanks to all the members that manned the stand over the 3 days and we have talked to the organisers for next year's event to improve things for the club.
