How much does it cost purchase a model hot air balloon?

This will partly depend on what size balloon you want. Also if you want a new balloon, or are looking to purchase a secondhand balloon.

Can I buy a balloon already built?

Yes you can. There a few places you can buy balloons that are ready to go.

How do they work?

Model balloons work in exactly the same way as their full size cousins. Burning liquid propane gas to heat up the envelope.

Can some one show me how to fly?

Yes. We are sure that one of the experienced club members would be more than happy to show you how to fly a balloon.

It is highly recommended that you have insurance. Accidents do happen, and sometimes it could cost a lot of money to put right. Members of the club can get very good favourable rates with the great BMFA insurance scheme.
